Terms of use

Draft — this describes how Sayvio works today, but it has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it checked before relying on it.
The service
Sayvio records your screen and hosts the result so you can share it with a link. You need an account to make recordings; the people you send links to do not.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at our support address, once it is published if you think someone else has got in. One account is for one person.
Your recordings are yours
You keep every right you have in what you record. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store your recordings, and to play them back to you and to anyone you share a link with.
What you must not record
Do not use Sayvio for anything unlawful, and do not record people without the consent the law where you are requires. Do not upload material you have no right to share, or anything that harasses or endangers someone. We may remove recordings and close accounts that breach this.
Storage
Each plan includes a number of cloud recordings and an amount of storage, shown on the pricing page. When you reach either, your existing recordings keep working, and new ones are saved to your computer instead of uploading until you free up space.
How long recordings are kept
On the free plan, each recording in the cloud is deleted with its file once 30 days go by without anyone watching it, and its link stops working. We do not warn you first, so download anything you want to keep.
When you delete a recording, it is gone: its link stops working and its file is deleted from storage. We cannot bring it back.
Availability
We try to keep Sayvio running and your recordings safe, but the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uptime. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You can stop using Sayvio at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may close an account that breaches these terms, and we will tell you why where we can.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will tell account holders by email before the change takes effect.
