Download and unzip
Download the preview build and unzip it into a folder you will keep. Chrome runs the extension from that folder, so do not delete it afterwards.
Sayvio lives in your Chrome toolbar. Add it, sign in once, and you can show what you mean from any tab.
Developer preview
Sayvio is not in the Chrome Web Store yet. Until it is, you can load the preview build yourself — it takes about two minutes and works in Chrome and in Edge.
The preview build is not available for download yet. Create your account now, and it is ready the moment the extension is.

Type chrome://extensions into the address bar and press Enter.
Use the Developer mode switch in the top-right corner of that page.
Click Load unpacked and choose the folder you unzipped — the one with manifest.json inside it.
Click the puzzle-piece icon to the right of the address bar, then the pin next to Sayvio, so its icon stays in your toolbar.
Its menu opens on the page you are looking at. Recording does not work on Chrome's own pages, such as a new tab, so try it on an ordinary website.
Choose Create an account or sign in. The Sayvio sign-in page opens in a new tab; once you are in, the extension picks it up by itself. You only do this once.
Pick a tab, a window or your whole screen and press Start recording. When you stop, the recording uploads and its link is copied for you.
